Bollywood’s youth icon Alia Bhatt has announced that she has tested positive for the COVID-19. On Thursday night, Alia took to her social media handle and revealed the news.
The nation is witnessing a rapid rise in the Covid-19 cases during the second wave of the pandemic. Many celebrities have recently contracted the deadly virus and are undergoing treatment. And now, Alia is also on the list. Taking to her Instagram story, Alia said that she is under home quarantine and is following all the safety protocols after getting diagnosed with coronavirus.
She also thanked her fans for their love and support. “Hello all, I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care,” the ‘Gully Boy’ fame diva said in her statement.

Bollywood celebrities like Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, R Madhavan, and Milind Soman have been infected with the virus, and are in self-quarantine.
On the work front, Alia will be seen opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy film trilogy, the first of which is named ‘Brahmāstra’. She will then appear alongside N.T. Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan in the Telugu-language period film ‘RRR’, and will portray the titular gangster and madam of a Kamathipura brothel in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, a biographical film directed, produced, written and composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Bhatt has also committed to feature alongside an ensemble cast in ‘Takht’, a historical drama directed by Karan Johar. She is also slated to make her production debut with ‘Darlings’, which will mark the directorial debut of screenwriter Jasmeet K. Reen and will mark her reunion with ‘Dear Zindagi’ producer Gauri Khan, while starring her in the lead alongside Shefali Shah.
