Bollywood’s ‘Queen’ Kangana Ranaut who will be portraying the role of political stalwart J Jayalalithaa in the biopic ‘Thalaivi’, on Saturday announced the wrap on its shooting schedule.
Kangana was in Hyderabad for a while now for the last schedule of the movie, and the actress today said that the filming of her ‘most ambitious project’ is successfully completed. Kangana who will be portraying the late politician in ‘Thalaivi’, took to her Twitter handle and shared the photograph of Jayalalithaa from her younger days, wherein she can be seen showing the victory symbol through her right hand.
Along with the picture of the renowned politician, Kangana posted the snap of herself from the movie posing in the same manner. The ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ fame actress also thanked the team of the movie and director A L Vijay for this lifetime opportunity. Kangana said she is having ‘mixed feelings’ as it’s time to say bye.
“And it’s a wrap, today we successfully completed the filming of our most ambitious project Thalaivi- the revolutionary leader, rarely an actor finds a character that comes alive in flesh and blood and I fall in love so hard but now suddenly it’s time to say bye, mixed feelings,” Kangana said in her tweet.

The film is about the life of J Jayalalithaa, late politician and film actress who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. ‘Thalaivi’ also stars Arvind Swamy, Bhagyashree and Madhoo Shah in the pivotal roles. Directed by A L Vijay, the movie is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh. ‘Thalaivi’ is co-produced by Hitesh Thakkar and Thirumal Reddy and will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
On the work front, Kangana will be also seen in a badass action avatar in ‘Dhaakad’, helmed by Razneesh Ghai. The actress will also feature in ‘Tejas’.
