Anil Kapoor turns 64: Sonam Kapoor wishes dad with a sweet note, calls him ‘Forever Young’

Actor and producer Anil Kapoor who has appeared in over a hundred Hindi-language films, as well as international films and television series, on Thursday turned 64.

Born into a Punjabi Hindu family on December 24, 1956 in Chembur, Mumbai, to Nirmal Kapoor and film producer Surinder Kapoor, his elder brother Boney Kapoor is a film producer and younger brother Sanjay Kapoor is an actor. Anil Kapoor made his Hindi films debut with Umesh Mehra’s ‘Hamare Tumhare’. He then starred as a lead actor in the 1980 Telugu film, ‘Vamsa Vruksham’ directed by veteran Bapu. In the same year, he also appeared in two more Hindi movies – ‘Ek Baar Kaho’ and ‘Hum Paanch’.

Now on his birthday, Anil’s daughter and actress Sonam Kapoor penned a heartwarming note for her doting father. Sonam took to her Instagram handle and shared an adorable photo with her dad, and wrote, “Happy happy birthday daddy… you’re the most positive, kind , liberal human being, and we are blessed to have your values instilled in us. I miss you so much and I can’t wait to see you in the new year.” 

Sonam also posted a throwback picture of Anil Kapoor on her Instagram story, a still from his movie. She wrote, “Happy Birthday Forever Young. PS: Can’t help myself posting this pic when I found this throwback pic”.

Anil Kapoor is currently shooting for Raj Mehta’s directorial ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ in Chandigarh. The senior star will also be seen in Karan Johar’s directorial venture, ‘Takht’, a historical drama featuring an ensemble cast, including Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, and Vicky Kaushal.
