Arjun Kapoor thanks Dibakar Banerjee for ‘Pinky’, says it took his craft to ‘unchartered territories’

Amazon Prime Video had recently presented to its viewers the cinematic delight, ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ (SAPF), and the viewers have rendered heaps of praises for the film and the same goes for the critics.

The film is directed by Dibakar Banerjee who is known for his work in the Hindi film industry. The amusing and quick-witted actor, Arjun Kapoor who plays the lead in the movie is happy with all the praises his film is receiving from all the corners.

The film is an edgy thriller, produced, written and directed by Dibakar Banerjee starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the lead. ‘Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar’ follows the story of two completely different individuals whose lives suddenly intertwine. Pinkesh Dahiya or “Pinky” (essayed by Arjun Kapoor), is a Haryanvi Police Officer, while Sandeep Kaur (essayed by Parineeti Chopra) is an ambitious girl from the corporate world.

Now on Wednesday, Arjun took to his Instagram handle and thanked the filmmaker for helping him taking his craft to the ‘unchartered territories’. Sharing some behind-the-scenes (BTS) pictures, Arjun said, “Pinky gave me a chance to challenge myself. Pinky gave me a chance to question my understanding of the beliefs prevalent in our country. Pinky gave me a chance to work with a mind that is unlike anyone else’s ….Thank you #DibakarBanerjee for all those torturous, tiring, exhausting, mentally consuming days, without which there would be no Pinky and no redemption for an actor like me seeking to find new pastures so that I could take my craft to unchartered territories.”

“Thank you for not trusting me too much and building this man from scratch. You have built Pinky with me, from within me, from all the hidden parts of me. That is what has made it all so much pure and so, so, so gratifying. Thank you,” he added.

Abhishek Bachchan commented a ‘raised fist’ emoji on Arjun’s post, while Dia Mirza wrote, “Pinky You are so honest.” Vijay Varma said, “Team Pinky”.
