The remake of the hit 1995 film ‘Coolie No 1’ which originally starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles, is all set to release in December, but with a fresh pairing.
The new ‘Coolie No 1’ will star Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan in the leads, and it is helmed by David Dhawan. While the original movie became an iconic hit of the 90’s, fans are excited for the new entertainer and its twists. The makers of the movie have recently released the new version of ‘Husnn Hai Suhana’ track which was originally pictured on Govinda and Karisma. The recreated song has been filmed on Varun and Sara.
Doubling the dance, glitter and glamour factor, this reimagined version of the 90s chartbuster will get everyone on the floor and share a leg. Recreated by Tanishk Bagchi, the track has been sung by the original singers Chandana Dixit and Abhijeet, with original lyrics by Sameer. It is nostalgia at its peak as you watch the lead pair Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan dance like no one’s watching, matching steps to the iconic jodi Govinda and Karisma Kapoor, who featured in the original.
Now on Friday, the 90’s elegant and beautiful diva Karisma took a trip down to the memory lane and shared a priceless throwback picture of the song. In the picture we can see Karisma and Govinda shaking leg on the tunes of the track. The still is from the original song video. Karisma also shared a group picture with director David Dhawan, and producers Ramesh Taurani and Vashu Bhagnani.
Along with these throwback photos, the ‘Raja Hindustani’ fame star penned a sweet note, reminiscing the old times. Karisma said she is nostalgic as she shares these throwback pictures. The ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ fame actress said that this was her first dance number with Govinda. Karisma also wished luck to the new team of the ‘Coolie No 1’.

The Bollywood fraternities were all praises and love for Karisma’s iconic pictures, and they showered their appreciation in the comment section. Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Bhavana Pandey drooped heart emoticons on the post. Sanjay Kapoor wrote, “You’ll were awesome together”. Varun Dhawan also showered his love on Karisma’s post and said, “#iconic love u lolo”, along with fire emojis, while Ranveer Singh said, “Queen”.
