The diva has paved her way to success in the Bollywood with her dedication towards the craft and her versatility. Apart from her acting adroitness, the ‘Gully Boy’ fame star enjoys a massive fanbase on the social media, with 50.9 million followers on Instagram.

The powerhouse actress Alia, is one such star who is known to go to great lengths in order to get into the skin of her roles. One such performance of her was in Imtiaz Ali’s 2014 film ‘Highway’. Alia proved her versatility as she went all de-glam for the movie, and won hearts with her outstanding portrayal of Veera Tripathi. The movie starred Randeep Hood in the lead role.
The critically-acclaimed movie on Sunday clocked seven years, and to mark the special day Alia recreated a scene from the flick. Taking to the Instagram stories, Alia shared some videos, wherein she can be seen sitting in a car, with no-makeup on, donning a blue tee and is recording the clip by looking in the rear view mirror.
She is moving her hands in a wavy manner, and the most famous song of ‘Highway’- ‘Patakha Guddi’ is playing in the background. The scene which she recreated was from the same song. She captioned it as, “celebrating 7 years of highway…” “On the highway”.
She also shared some monochromatic behind-the-scenes (BTS) stills of Randeep and herself and asked her fans that which of ‘Highway’s songs are their favourite. She gave options to choose- Patakha Guddi, Maahi Ve, Kahaan Hoon Main, Sooha Saaha, Heera, Tu Kuja, implosive silence and Wanna Mash Up.

‘Highway’ is a story of two characters from very different backgrounds— played by Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt—who take the road trip across six states in a truck. The film is about the discovery of oneself while traveling.
The coming-of-age movie is directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Screened in the Panorama section of the 2014 Berlin International Film Festival, the film was released worldwide on February 21, 2014.
On the work front, Alia will be seen next in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’, along with Ranbir Kapoor. The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan. The 27-year-old star will also feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawad’, ‘RRR’ and ‘Takht’.
