Winning million of hearts as Major Vihaan Singh Shergill in ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, actor Vicky Kaushal is now gearing up for some of the exciting projects which are there in his kitty.
In 2019, Aditya Dhar’s directorial debut, ‘URI: The Surgical Strike’ produced by Ronnie Screwvala, took the nation by storm winning rave reviews and striking gold at the box-office. It won three National Awards. While Vicky Kaushal was bestowed a National Award for his performance, director – Aditya Dhar too won the prestigious award for his direction.
The ‘Raazi’ fame star recently had a pleasant visit to the ‘Paradise on Earth’ i.e. Kashmir. After receiving an invitation he visited the Uri Base Camp in Kashmir. Sharing some happy pictures from his visit, Kaushal penned a heartfelt note for the Indian Army.
Donning an olive green cargo pants, white tee and blue denim jackets, Vicky can be seen addressing the crowd. Along with the snaps, Vicky wrote, “My heartfelt thanks to the Indian Army for inviting me to the Uri Base Camp, Kashmir. Thank You for giving me an opportunity to spend a lovely day with the locals who were so full of warmth and amazingly talented. It is the biggest honour for me to be in company of our great armed forces. Thank You. Jai Hind!”
Filmmaker Aditya Dhar commented on Vicky’s post and said, “Brings back so many memories!!” The post has garnered more than five lakh likes and a heart from Yami Gautam.

On the work front, Vicky will be next seen in Shoojit Sircar’s directorial ‘Sardar Udham Singh’, in which he will be playing the titular role. He will also be seen in ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’, a futuristic sci-fi drama, based on a character from the chapter of Mahabharata.
The actor will also star as the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in ‘Takht’, a historical drama directed by Karan Johar, which features an ensemble cast, including Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Bhumi Pednekar.
