Karan Johar launches talent management agency ‘DCA’; says ‘it will become an indomitable powerhouse of talent’!

Director and producer Karan Johar on Tuesday announced that he has joined hands with Bunty Sajdeh to launch talent management company named Dharma Cornerstone Agency (DCA).

Karan’s Dharma Productions and Bunty’s Cornerstone Agency came together to launch DCA, a talent representation and management company. Taking to his Instagram and Twitter handle, Karan shared the logo of his new venture and released an official statement. 

“With its immense contribution to the Indian cinema for over 40 years, Dharma Productions is now all set to redefine the representation of artists across the spectrum of actors and talent from the music industry to unravel the seamless opportunities for them and help them build their careers in their respective industries. Surfacing the realm of this partnership with Cornerstone, this new talent management agency is called Dharma Cornerstone Agency (DCA),” the statement said.

“Over the years, Dharma Productions has contributed significantly to the core of this industry with distinct artists. It has elevated the ground for numerous individuals of passion, talent and hard work and paved a way to newer heights. Cornerstone, helmed by Bunty Sajdeh, has proven its expertise in end-to-end talent management for well over a decade. With its strategic brand building skills right from sales and marketing both conventional and digital, to licensing, animation and gaming, PR and overall image management, Cornerstone has successfully represented several prominent sport and entertainment talent alike,” it said. 

“Carrying forward the same legacy of Dharma Productions and Cornerstone, Dharma Cornerstone Agency (DCA) aims to be an indomitable powerhouse of talent that will drive collaborations and become the benchmark for artist management and representation in the country. The Bollywood fraternities congratulated Karan and showered their love in the comment section. Maheep Kapoor wrote, “Congratulations”. Riteish Deshmukh said, “Congratulations Karan”. Amrita Arora and Malaika Arora wrote, “Congratulations”, while Preity G Zinta said, “Congrats Karan”. Manish Malhotra, Masaba Gupta, Divya Khosla Kumar and Sanjay Kapoor also congratulated the filmmaker.

On the professional front, Karan has announced his next film ‘Takht’, a period drama based in the Mughal era, which will feature an ensemble star cast including Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.With a screenplay by Sumit Roy, dialogues by Hussain Haidry and music composed by A. R. Rahman, this will be the second film directed by Johar.
