One of the most sought after actresses in the Bollywood, Kriti Sanon on Wednesday celebrated four years of her romantic action movie ‘Raabta’, in which she starred as a lead opposite late actor Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR).
Directed by Dinesh Vijan in his directorial debut and co-produced by Vijan, Homi Adajania, Bhushan Kumar, the movie starred Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon, with Jim Sarbh, Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma in supporting roles. The story is based on the concept of reincarnated star-crossed lovers.
Now as the movie has completed a milestone of four years, Kriti penned a heartfelt note for the team and remembered Sushant. She took to her Instagram handle and shared a video montage which included behind-the-scenes (BTS) clips of SSR, Kriti and Dinesh.
Remembering SSR in an emotional note, Kriti said her Raabta with Sushant and Dinoo was just meant to be. Since the film was the first collaboration between Sushant and Kriti, the 30-year-old actress said she didn’t know that ‘it would be our first and last’. Sushant passed away on June 14, 2020 at his Mumbai residence.
Kriti also said that ‘Raabta’ was her one of the best and memorable experiences and will always remain extremely close to her heart.
“Tan lade, tan muk jaaye Rooh jude, judi reh jaaye…I believe in connection, I believe that we are meant to meet the people we do.. My Raabta with Sushant, Dinoo and MaddockFilms was just meant to be.. Films come and go.. But every single film has so so many memories behind it.. The connections we make & the moments we live with each other stay within us..Some more than others.. Raabta was one of my best and most memorable experiences and it will ALWAYS remain extremely close to my heart.. Little did i know that it would be our first and last..#Raabta,” the gorgeous diva said in her heartwarming post.

Kriti has become a household name as a leading actress of the industry, who has given us memorable characters like Bitti, Dimpy, Ishita, Parvati Bai and Rashmi among many others in this short period of time and now she is set to give us many more new characters, each with its own unique style and avatar as her lineup suggests.
From the role of Sita in the mythology drama ‘Adipurush’ with Prabhas to a glamorous and grunge role in the action flick Jassi in ‘Ganapath’, none of her upcoming characters seem alike at all. She will also be seen in a horror flick for the first time in ‘Bhediya’ with Varun Dhawan.
Kriti will also be leading the film, ‘Mimi’ on her own shoulders completely where she will be seen playing a mother. The foremost diva of Bollywood also has ‘Bachchan Pandey’ with Akshay Kumar and the quirky comedy ‘Hum Do Hamaare Do’ pairing her alongside Rajkummar Rao besides another unannounced film in her kitty.
