With the second wave of COVID-19, the nation has been distraught constantly surrounded by news of rising cases, a sentiment of hopelessness has swamped the nation. The present situation of India battling the pandemic is very grim as help pours in from all the corners. Established personalities and celebrities have also come forward in their own way to help.
South sensation Rashmika Mandanna has also taken to the ground in these grim times in an effort to provide relief to people in distress because of the pandemic. The actress makes an effort to share and create stories of kindness with people, spreading love to all and helping others.
The ‘Dear Comrade’ fame actress’ professional as well as personal life is equally the talk of the town. The beautiful diva has a strong social media presence – and why not, after all fans love to follow her on Instagram. On Monday, Rashmika took to her social media handles and shared a video in which she thanked the unsung heroes who are doing ‘extraordinary’ work in these tough times.
She also said that in the coming weeks, she will highlight stories of such ‘ordinary heroes’, with an aim to spread hope and positivity.
“Hey guys, I hope you are keeping safe in these crazy, unpredictable times. Covid has been challenging us in ways we could have never imagined and we weren’t prepared for something like this. Sudden changes in our daily lives, coupled with anxiety, uncertainty which is overwhelming to a lot of you and has been extremely overwhelming for me personally,” Rashmika said in the video.
“It took me a while to digest the fact that this was happening all over again but times like this, what I have realised, it is better to stay positive and with a positive mind, we are a step closer to we winning this war. Saying this, I was thinking for the next couple of weeks, I wanted to highlight a few stories of our ordinary heroes doing extraordinary stuff, which has given me hope, and got a smile on my face and made me realised that when we are fighting against something like this, there is absolutely no barrier of language, or where they are from, which is amazing. It makes me extremely proud,” she said.
“I’m doing this you know, to bring a smile on your face and give you a little hope, and thank these heroes personally. Lots of love and strength to you. We will get through this. Be safe,” adds Rashmika. She captioned the clip as, “#SpreadingHope”.
