‘You are a devta’, pens Kangana Ranaut for ‘Thalaivi’ director A L Vijay

Bollywood’s ‘Queen’ Kangana Ranaut has beautifully crafted a niche for herself in the rich content-driven and commercial films. A self-made actor, Kangana has worked her way up through sheer talent and dedication, and she has been hailed for her scintillating screen presence. 

Kangana is one of the most flawless actresses in the entertainment industry, and her impressive body of work proves the same. It won’t be wrong to call Kangana one of the busiest actresses in the current times, and her latest work schedule is proof. The actress had undergone a major body transformation for her role as legendary politician J Jayalalithaa, in ‘Thalaivi’.

‘Thalaivi’, a biopic on political stalwart J Jayalalithaa, is amongst the most highly anticipated films of the year. The flick has generated immense buzz ever since announcement as the film traces the journey of Jayalalithaa from her youth as the leading actress to the peak of her political career.

Earlier, the makers had released looks of Kangana Ranaut as Jayalalithaa in the different stages of her life along with actor Arvind Swami who plays MGR, adding to the excitement and making it one of the most awaited releases of 2021.

The ‘Panga’ fame diva is currently dubbing for ‘Thalaivi’, and as the film’s journey is coming to an end, Kangana penned a heartwarming note for the filmmaker A L Vijay. Sharing some behind-the-scenes (BTS) photos with the ace director on her Twitter handle, Kangana wrote about the things she first noticed about Vijay. Calling him a ‘devta’, Kangana thanked him and said that she will miss him.

“Dear Vijay sir, as first half dubbing of #Thalaivi is over, only second half is left, this journey together is coming to an end, I never feel a sinking feeling that I feel as I think about it, I have identified this feeling as missing you factor I have a confession to make- First thing I noticed about you was you say no to tea,coffee,wine,non veg,parties impossible to get close to you, then slowly I realised you are never far,you are not only amazingly competent your eyes shine brighter when I excel as an artist, through so many ups and downs I never saw a hint of anger, insecurity or despair in you,spoke to people who know you for decades and when they speak about you their eyes light up, you are not a human you are a devta,I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and know that I miss you,” Kangana said in her tweet.

‘Thalaivi’ is an upcoming multilingual biographical film releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and is directed by A L Vijay. The film is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh under their respective banners Vibri Media, Karma Media And Entertainment in association with Gothic Entertainment and Sprint films, set to release in cinemas on April 23rd.

The film is about the life of J Jayalalithaa, late politician and film actress who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. ‘Thalaivi’ also stars Arvind Swami, Bhagyashree and Madhoo Shah in the pivotal roles.

On the work front, Kangana will be also seen in a badass action avatar in ‘Dhaakad’, helmed by Razneesh Ghai. The actress will also feature in ‘Tejas’.
