Support of family during these difficult times is essential: Bharati Achrekar

Versatile and evergreen actress Bharati Achrekar kickstarted her career in 1980 as she bagged a role in the highly acclaimed Bollywood film ‘Apne Paraye’. Subsequently, she went on to earn many more prominent roles in series and films.

She is popularly known for her role as Mrs Wagle and continues to win the hearts of the audience even today with Sony SAB’s ‘Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey’. During these tough times, the actress strongly believes in emphasising the importance of family and how it helps in spreading positivity.

Sharing her thoughts on the same note, Bharati said, “This show has been a blessing to me and I am beyond grateful to have received the opportunity to be essaying the role of Mrs Radhika Wagle once again. I have played many roles in my career, but Radhika is one such role that amazes the audience even today. I’m immensely grateful for our viewers and fans for continuing to shower their love and appreciation on me and the show.”

Emphasising on the importance of family in one’s life, she says “Having the support of the family during these difficult times is essential, it is our family that stands by us and supports us. During these difficult times, I have found not only our families that have stood by us but also people from our workplace. Through our show, we try and instil the importance of families being together and supporting each other through thick and thin. A happy family is also a family that stays strong together. This helps in spreading positivity along the way. Our show strongly believes in all these foundations and continues to highlight the importance and beauty of a family.”

Talking about her on-screen family, she added, “Some relationships and bonds do not change. So, Aanjjan and I continue to bring about the same chemistry which people loved. The only thing that is different now is that we have grown up and now it is 40 years of our marriage in the show, which obviously makes a difference. The chemistry and values will be same but there is a little bit more nok jhok between the husband and wife. So, the character has not changed drastically but a little bit of change has been brough about in the tone and conduct of the senior Wagles. The most important aspect of this newer version is that the three generations have grown, and I’ve been seen playing the role of a grandmother.”

Keep watching ‘Wagle Ki Duniya’ from Monday to Friday at 2100 hrs on Sony SAB.
